Creative

smiling david wearing a jacket Building something from nothing is a theme in my life since before I could get a driver's license! I opened a music lessons teaching studio when I was 15 years old and hustled my bands' CDs through high school and college. After college, I built a record label with my co-founders in Chapel Hill, NC which led to a record deal with celebrated British label Fat Cat (home to Sigur Ros, Animal Collective and many others). My 2+ decades in the music industry have taken me all over the US, Canada and Europe and provided a deep dive into business, publishing, PR, art direction, booking, producing, tour managing and content management. I'm a detail-oriented and prolific creator, having released 10 solo albums and collaborated on many, many more. After I got married and had my son, my wife and I built the premier Naturopathic Fertility Practice in Texas; the last 8 years running Holistic Wellness, LLC have only deepened my commitment to authenticity, exploration, problem solving, collaboration and meaningful work in service of others.

Simply put, I love to work with others to build great things.

“With discreet orchestration worthy of Van Dyke Parks and poignant, quavering vocalizing, D.K. Daniels’ fourth release, Sharp Teeth, is a collection of musical dramas rife with ambiguity, wry understatement, and majesty.”
~Mark Keresman, SF Weekly
